Time to Declare Hizbullah A Terrorist Group

January 29th, 2013 by admin

Israeli ambassador to the United Nations has recently stated in a televised interview to an undisclosed location that it is time that Hizbullah is declared as a terrorist group. Rob Prosor says that Hizbullah is an international terrorist organization that needs to be stopped.

He further said that the Hizbullah group is an explosive barrel of which the United Nations must take care of. Reportedly more than 50,000 weapons of the organizations rockets threaten Israel and the entire region. Hizbollah has been hiding weapons of mass destruction in places close to civilian populations. They make light of the fact that they are using civilians as human shields. Prosor said that the recent explosion of one of Hizbullah’s warehouses being only 300 meters from a school full of children was no coincidence.

There have been several incidents like this one that have taken place over the last two years. Israel estimates that the Hizbullah terrorist organization has been stockpiling ammunition and guns and they have also built up an arsenal of more than 60,000 missiles.

Ron Prosor sent a letter of complaint to the Security Council this week demanding that the organization enforce UN Resolution 1701, which calls for the disarming of Hizbullah and prohibits the organization from bringing weapons close to Lebanon’s border with Israel.

Hopefully this letter will be taken seriously and will be adhered to so that Hizbullah will not be able to continue doing what they have been doing. There is no need to hurt innocent civilians and it is wrong to use them as a shield as well. Civilians should be protected at all costs.

Republicans Struggle to Find the Best Candidate for 2012

May 5th, 2012 by admin
0

In the primary race for the Republican nominee, Americans are somewhat torn over who to choose. Although the race has dwindled down significantly, leaving Mitt Romney as the prime candidate, many aren’t necessarily happy with this choice. In fact, a good portion of Republicans feel like choosing Romney is simply settling for mediocre when greatness could be a possibility.

Those who endorse Mitt Romney insist that he is the only candidate that can beat Barak Obama in the race for the White House in 2012. However, many disagree. Mitt Romney is another “watered-down” version on Conservatives and that doesn’t sit well with many voters.

The other option is to endorse Ron Paul who is still vying hard for a spot on the ballet. He isn’t dropping out anytime soon as he continues to forge a path for a new America. While many republicans like Ron Paul, his foreign policy is the target on his back that keeps him from overcoming Mitt Romney. His beliefs that we should simply back away and butt out of foreign countries sounds good, but it could be dangerous for Israel.

If the United States no longer aligns itself with Israel, then what will happen to this delicate country that is so hated by the world? Will it stand through the term of one president who isn’t willing to go in and fight for it? Christians believe Israel must be protected at all costs, but Ron Paul remains firm that they should fight their own battles and we should back off.

So at the end of the day, Republicans must decide if they can endorse Mitt Romney for president in 2012 or jump on the Ron Paul bandwagon before he is too far behind to ever stand a chance. November is approaching quickly. What will you do?

The World’s Favorite Game

April 26th, 2012 by admin

When you play bingo in your respective country, it usually comes in one standard flavor. If you are in North America, that means the traditional 75 ball bingo game. The card is a 5×5 grid with the letters BINGO atop the cross of the card. The numbers on the ball will then have a letter fixed to them like B25 or I12. In this way, you know where the number needs to be in order for it to count towards your score. In traditional US bingo the center square is free and marked off for everyone.

If you are from Europe or other parts of the world, you are probably more used to bingo that is played with 90 balls on a 9 x 3 card. Each column has numbers going from 1-9, and then up all the way to 80-90. The big difference between this version of bingo and the 75-ball version is that there are three separate ways to win in this bingo. You can win the one line prize, the two-line prize, and the full house. In this way, there are three winners in every game and you can make a “comeback” if someone beats you to the first or 2nd prize.

Now that online bingo is prominent in most parts of the world, hundreds of thousands of people are flocking to the Internet to play. However, you can play both game types online. Many North American players are being exposed to 90-ball bingo for the first time and vice versa. This gives the true bingo players more opportunity, and more varied gameplay. Everyone loves being able to try more types of a great game. This makes online bingo the definitive version of bingo. You could play both kinds of bingo at the same time!

Online bingo started with a website called Bingo Zone. It was a free bingo site that allowed players to try the game simply by showing them targeted ads. You couldn’t win money on these sites but the birth was there. Online bingo has continued to evolve and allow even more obscure types of bingo to be played by the masses. There is a type of bingo for everyone who is looking to play.

Online bingo also encourages people to talk during the game. So you can enjoy the company of the players while you enjoy one of the most exciting games that have come out for the computer. Online bingo is the best way to play bingo, and will be one of the biggest games in the years to come. Everyone who has ever played bingo should get online and give it a chance. Try it today by visiting these sites:

How to Treat a Person with Disabilities

April 12th, 2012 by admin
0

Many millions of Americans are faced with some type of disability whether in their own life or in the life or a friend, family member, or loved one. Dealing with a disability can be incredibly difficult and also frustrating for both the disabled person and those that are trying to help take care of them. Whether their disability is mental, physical, or emotional, there are several things to keep in mind when interacting with someone dealing with a disability.

1- Look at the person and not the disability. It is so common for people in our culture to quickly label others and then to only view them with that label. For example, if a teenager suffers from a severe form of autism, it is hard for them to be viewed by others as anything except for ‘the autistic boy’. Try to see past your own preconceived notions and view the person with the disability as just that; a person who is trying to deal with a difficult circumstance as best as they can.

2- Just because someone is different does not mean that they are disabled. To someone who is blind, they may not see this as a disability at all, but a gift. Do not speak to someone as if their disability is a problem or that it is disabling. This is you placing your interpretations on their situation which can lead to problems.

3- Choose to look at a disability not as being disabled but as doing things differently. You have probably heard the term ‘learning disabled’. Instead, choose to look at it as learning differently.

Above all, show respect and care for those around you. They may not want sympathy, but they do want to know that you care.

Examining Habits of the Jewish Faith

February 3rd, 2012 by admin

Judaism can be extremely confusing to those of traditional Christian faith, or those with no faith at all. A seemingly random assortment of rules and restrictions are in place. However, closer examination of the baits of the Jewish faith leads one to a greater understanding, and a greater respect for what they go through. Jewish law is also known as halakhah, which translates to “the path one walks”. This goes to show that the Jewish people walk this path willingly to establish an identity for themselves.

Perhaps the most well known Jewish habit is their dietary restrictions. Most people know that they don’t eat pork, but don’t really understand what kosher means. Inside Judaism, this law is called kashrut. There are many Bible verses that show the reason the Jewish people don’t eat meat. In Deuteronomy chapter 14 it is clearly stated that the pig is unclean. This prevents the Jewish people from eating meat. A priest must also bless certain food items before they become kosher. Many food companies make all t he food kosher that they can so that the Jewish people have an easier time finding the right selections.

Jewish people worship in buildings called synagogues. Their Sabbath day observance is much more devout that most traditional sects of religion. They are only permitted to do certain things on the Sabbath and they stick in strict accordance with that.

However, there is a new branch of Judaism developing which is cultural Judaism. They were born Jewish but simply keep certain customs alive without the religious dogma attached to it. This is a way for those without faith to keep a culture alive and vibrant. This community is growing.

Restoring the Beautiful Mount of Olives Cemetary

November 17th, 2011 by admin
0

In Israel, there is an area called Mount of Olives. It is quite a beautiful sight. It also has an old Jewish cemetery that has graves from three thousand years ago. There is a Jewish group that is using tools that we have today in technology to map out and label each one of those graves. Their objective is to take a photo of each grave, digitally map it, record every name, and make it available online. They feel that doing this, it will make it easier to visit the cemetery and know where each grave is. Because this cemetery is so old and has been neglected, it will be in ruin soon.

This group started this endeavor back in 2008 and has labeled 40,000 graves. They hope to be done with 100,000 by the end of next year. The other graves have become too old to recognize or have been covered by other graves. This Jewish group feels that this place, The Mount of Olives, is a mirror of Jerusalem. With so much war, the graves change and new names and dates are written on them. This happens when new Jews come into the city as well.

This cemetery is different than any other cemetery of its kind. Some Jewish people feel that this cemetery is a reflection of unwavering faith until death. Many people buried here are people who died for their Messiah. This cemetery is an example to many that their faith was more important than their own lives. Many churches were also built here in honor of their Messiah, Jesus and used to pay honor to those buried there and to the Messiah.

The Jewish Culture of New York

June 16th, 2010 by Daves Opinion

New York is known as a melting pot, attracting people of every nationality, race, and religion.  In the huge population, you can find almost every possible belief system represented.  Yet, the most notable group is the Jewish population.  While most people believe that the largest part of the Jewish population lives in Israel, particularly the city of Jerusalem, this is actually a myth.  The largest concentrated population of Jews reside in New York City.  More than thirteen percent of the residents of New York City claim to be Jewish.  That amounts to over one million Jewish people within the city!

You can see the Jewish heritage evidenced in New York City’s culture in many ways.  From the many Jewish food stands and restaurants to the educational opportunities at places like the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, there is a huge imprint of Jewish heritage and faith on the lifestyle in New York City.  The largest Jewish temple is also found in New York City, outshining even its sister temples in Jerusalem.  The temple is known as the Temple Emanu-El and it was started in 1845.

Many of the world’s famous comedians got their start in New York City’s Jewish population.  Both Jerry Seinfield and Woody Allen are Jews that are native to New York.  If you want to learn more about the Jewish belief system, you don’t need to travel to Israel.  Instead, make a trip to New York City and see the many cultural influences that are shaping the city.

Understanding Zionism

June 4th, 2010 by Garvey
0

If you watch the news frequently, you have probably heard the term Zionism come up on a regular basis when the media covers current events in the Middle East.  Zionism is best described as a movement among Jews to rally all the people of Jewish heritage to take back their rightful position as occupants of Israel.  Zionism serves to unify all Jews, regardless of their political or social beliefs towards one common aim of returning to the original Promised Land in Israel.

You may think that Zionism only includes those of Jewish nationality, but you would be surprised at how many people consider themselves to be Jewish who were not born in Jewish families.  In fact, a great deal of people in European countries consider themselves to be Jewish converts.  There are also many Jews that live in the United States that practice their traditional Jewish holidays and religious beliefs.

When you study Zionism, it is a call to return to the original lifestyle of the forefathers by worshiping the one true God and living in one community, separated from the rest of the world.  All people who consider themselves Jewish, by both race and conversion, are invited to participate in the movement of Zionism.

Can Electric Vehicles Help Reduce Global Warming?

May 4th, 2010 by Bridget - UK
0

Millions of years ago Denver, Colorado, the site which is now the mile high city, was a mile underwater. The Great Salt Lake of Utah is the last remnant of a vast inland sea which covered most of Western Utah and parts of Nevada and Idaho thousands of years ago. Ten thousand years ago Canada and most of Europe were entirely covered with vast continental ice sheets.

Geologically speaking, which means adopting a perspective on global climate spanning tens of thousands of years, rather than a few hundred years or even the ten thousand years of recorded history, global warming is not an anomaly. Evidence suggests that periods of time have existed when the Arctic Ocean was ice-free, and other times when the Earth was entirely encased in ice. These extremes are the product of climatic fluctuations induced by migration of the continents interfering with and altering wind and ocean currents, changes in the Earth’s orbit around the sun, the moon’s orbit around the earth and possibly the sun’s orbit through the galaxy, variations in solar output, large meteor impacts and volcanism including the eruption of so-called super volcanoes. The presence of ice sheets tends to result in further ice formation by reflecting solar energy back into space, and the presence of high concentrations of carbon dioxide and methane in the atmosphere tends to inhibit or reduce ice formation leading to increased global temperatures.

The concerns of scientists and environmentalists are primarily focused on the changes in atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide and methane as a product of modern human activity. There is evidence that human activity over the last 8,000 years may have significantly contributed to the concentration of green house gases since the last glacial period ended 10,000 years ago.

This is not a new problem.

The magnitude of the impact of atmospheric change on human and other life on this planet, as illustrated by the documented acceleration of the effects of green house gases by unprecedented human activity within the last one hundred years, is the question posed by some of the best minds on the planet. Computer models exist of best and worst case scenarios. Few certainties exist as to the short-term geologic future of this planet. There is agreement however on the fact of global warming through atmospheric change and that this impact is something that man can influence irrespective of any other contributive factors.

Mitigating the acceleration of global warming by limiting those practices known to overload the equation is just good stewardship. Certainly, technology exists to tighten up sloppy ecological practices and lead to better control of industrial emissions of carbon dioxide. More humane animal husbandry in American super farms will not only curb methane emissions but improve the quality of life of domesticated animals.

Green house gas emissions by developing countries throwing off the mantle of long term economic suppression as is occurring in China, India and South America is problematic. Primitive means of clear cutting huge tracts of forests, unregulated industrial output, and infrastructure not geared to the conservation of resources are all contributing a massive load to the atmospheric biome.

Industrial leaders such as the United States waving a cautionary finger at under-developed, highly populated countries such as China seems hypocritical at best. Industrial leaders rely on the production facilitated by the wholesale conversion of the natural resources in those countries to consumable products, all of which involves high emission of green house gases.

The problem of global warming best illustrates that sloppy stewardship of the planet is as much an economic concern as an environmental one. The promise of personal prosperity is the fuel that ignites unregulated development which in turn leads to environmental damage which is now global in scope.

Re-educating an entire planetary population on the real “valuables” of life on this planet, and redefining wealth, reintroducing craftsmanship, promoting the concept that quality is senior to quantity are all necessary to sustaining a livable environment on this planet. Perhaps the solution to global warming lies in a reexamination of the economics of life on the planet and an enforcement of practices which will allow countries to maintain a standard of living based on sound economic practices rather than rampant consumption of resources. It makes good sense to do so.

So what can using electric vehicles such as electric bikes or electric cars do to help slow global warming?  Well, when we start using fewer nonrenewable resources and start using more sustainable modes of transportation, we will stop polluting our atmosphere and this will help to slow global warming.  Let’s just hope that we start using EVs before it is too late!

Understanding Jewish Traditions and Customs

April 28th, 2010 by doris

The world’s growing Jewish population has its own set of traditions and customs that most people do not understand.  We might be familiar with a few Jewish holidays that we see promoted on television or in the news, but we are largely uneducated on the many other traditions that the Jewish religion incorporates into the lives of its followers.  Here are a few of the most notable Jewish traditions.

The first celebrated tradition begins when a baby boy is circumcised at eight days old.  These circumcisions are performed in ceremonies by Jewish “mohels,” which are trained to do so.  The baby’s name is also announced at this ceremony.  Baby girl’s have a traditional baby naming ceremony called the “Simchat Bat” where the family attends the Synagogue at the first Shabbat after a child is born.  During this service, a traditional blessing is pronounced by the Priest and the name is announced.  Some Jews choose to do these ceremonies at home.

Another popular tradition is the Bar Mitzvah for boys when they turn thirteen.  This celebrates a young man’s crossing over from child to man and the family gathers as a blessing is bestowed in a formal ceremony, followed by a party for all the friends and family.

Jewish marriages are centered around many traditions, but most commonly weddings are conducted under a traditional canopy style tent called a chuppah.  There are also traditional vows and other Jewish celebrations involved in marriage ceremonies.

Are Electronic Cigarettes a Healthy Alternative to Tobacco Cigarettes?

April 26th, 2010 by Daves Opinion
0

Are you a smoker that gets tired of hearing about all the negative effects of smoking, both personally and about second-hand smoke? Smokers are blocked at most public places including restaurants, office buildings and even outside in public parks. I clearly say it’s time for a new and innovative alternative, such as electronic cigarettes. These cigarettes have not been out that long but are already said to be a better alternative to things such as patches or nicotine gum. These electronic cigarettes, or e-cigarettes, have been proven to be a healthier alternative over the conventional cigarette and a successful tool for anyone that wants to quit smoking altogether.

When you buy electronic cigarettes, they come with a battery, an atomizer and nicotine cartridges. Depending on the brand, some even contain rechargeable packs for e-cigarettes. E-cigarettes work on a system based on nicotine vapors and emit only virtual smoke. These cigarettes are actually smokeless, while looking and feeling like a conventional cigarette. Each cartridge contains nicotine and is comparable to about 15 to 20 cigarettes. Because the e-cigarette is actually smokeless, none of the harmful substances are getting into the air, your lungs or the lungs of second-hand smokers. The people around you will thank you for this fact!

Each electronic cigarette includes its own batteries and many include rechargeable packs for e-cigarettes, making it easier for people on the go. For those that are not sure about the e-cigarette or are constantly on the go, disposable e-cigarettes would be perfect for them. These are extremely convenient for most smokers and they will save you money in the long run.

The benefits for this amazing invention do not just stop there. Smokers no longer have to worry about when and where they can smoke. These cigarettes do not contain tar, cancerous agents, real smoke or the dangerous toxins and chemicals of the conventional cigarette. This means smokers will not get banned by places that previously have banned them from smoking conventional cigarettes. No more having to go outside or not being able to smoke after food when most smokers crave it the most. The electronic cigarette allows smokers to be more comfortable and relaxed.

Some other benefits to smokers is that they are not only healthier, but a lot more accessible than conventional cigarettes. You can carry even the disposable e-cigarettes with you and keep them at easy reach for any time that you see fit. The electronic cigarettes are most cost effective as well. You get a lot more in the electronic-cigarette kits for your money than those that buy expensive conventional packs of cigarettes. I have seen in one week someone pay more for packs of conventional cigarettes than they would in months of a supply of electronic cigarette cartridges. With the proliferation of electronic cigarette promo codes online and some brands even offering free e-cigarettes, many smokers will find e-cigs extremely affordable. When you utilize Green Smoke coupons or a Premium electronic cigarettes coupon code, you will save even more by making the switch to e-cigarettes.

One great way to learn more is to go online and read e-cigarette reviews. There are so many options for electronic cigarettes that range in a variety of options for the smokers. Just like in the conventional cigarettes, there also a lot of brands that make and sell the electronic cigarettes. Each one varies in price, style, strength of nicotine and flavors that are offered. Some brands, such as Smart Smoker, even offer a free e-cigarette trial. All of these, however, use the same basic concept of how the electronic cigarette works. The companies want smokers to have a quality and great tasting alternative to the conventional cigarette. Welcome to the world of electronic cigarettes.

Frequent Israeli Appearances in World News

April 25th, 2010 by Joel Doscher
0

If you turn on the news, you will quickly hear some kind of scandal or political disagreement that centers on Israel.  The world is often divided, with some nations proudly backing Israel and others proudly opposing it.  For decades, the world news has centered on the centuries old debate of whether nations will defend or attack the Holy Land of Jewish heritage.

Most recently, Israel was in the news and Lebanese officials started a fight with Israeli leaders over the fuel supplies in the area.  The Israeli government recently discovered a large field with huge supplies of natural gas.  With an unbelievable estimated square footage amount of over fifteen trillion feet, this offered Israel the potential to boost their economy and establish drilling partnerships with their neighbors.

Unfortunately, Lebanese officials have quickly come forward claiming partial ownership of the field containing the natural gas.  This happened in previous instances when Israeli government declared findings of natural gas in other fields.  Lebanese leadership seem to claim the fields containing natural gas upon every discovery.  They are now threatening to protect their share of the property with any means necessary.

As a result, it seems that there will be no coming peace in the Middle East.  Once again, the nations seem to be rising up against Israel, provoking the “chosen people of God” like a large bully provokes a small child.  The world will have to wait to see what Israel will do in response.

What Americans Really Think of the Jewish Population

April 21st, 2010 by doris
0

The numbers tell it all.  With an estimated 5.6 million Jews living in Israel, nearly half of the world’s Jewish population resides in the United States with approximately 5.2 million Jews scattered across the fifty states.  The Jewish community within America has many traditions and religious belief systems that most Americans are becoming accustomed too.  Our culture is adapting to incorporate kosher restaurants and Jewish holidays into our calendars.

Most of the Jewish population in America resides within New York City, with approximately 2 million Jews living and working within the area.  Miami and Los Angeles are also popular cities for Jewish families to reside.  So what are Americans saying about their Jewish neighbors?  Despite a long history of animosity between different races and religion in the United States, there has been a great deal of tolerance and acceptance among Americans in regards to their Jewish neighbors.  Because Judaism is seen as a loving religion as opposed to a religion built on doctrines of hate or extremism (such as Islam), most people think the growing Jewish population is a positive thing for America.

In fact, many American families are taking interest in the Jewish heritage by celebrating traditionally Jewish holidays such as Hanukkah and Passover.  They are researching the old stories behind these practices and sharing them with their children.  Messianic Jews are also prevalent within the United States.  These people often attend traditional American churches which also accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of mankind.

Boat Docks Have a Large Environmental Impact: What You Can Do To Make A Difference?

April 19th, 2010 by Garvey
0

People have been using boats and boat docks for centuries.  Boat docks can provide an excellent recreation activity as many people living in coastal towns or near rivers and lakes love to enjoy a day out on the water.  The decision to install a boat dock or walkway to your waterfront property can be an exciting one, and you most likely have done a great deal of research as to which boat dock solution is right for you.  However, before you make the plunge to invest time and money installing a boat dock, it is important to explore some unknown facts about the industry so you can ensure that everything is done properly.

Some facts that are relatively unknown about the boat dock industry are the facts regarding a boat dock’s impact on the environment.  While simply installing a boat dock may seem like a relatively small task, the repercussions of its installation can be farther reaching than you originally realized if not done correctly.  The installation of a boat dock and dock accessories can have a major effect on the environment if the proper precautions are not taken, so it is important to be informed and to select a good contractor before undertaking this project.

One little known fact about boat docks that makes them so environmentally harmful is the materials they use.  In the past, many boat docks were constructed using foams that were very harmful to the environment.  However, with advances in technology and an increased awareness of protecting the environment, companies have begun using plastics that are not harmful to the environment.  These plastics are also a more convenient material to use, as they are far lower maintenance and will last longer into the future.  They also make boat docks more stable and thus safer to use.  When selecting which boat dock solution is right for you, be sure to carefully examine the materials it employs, both for their environmental impact and for their practicality.

Another little known fact is that the installation of a pier system disrupts important wetland wildlife.  Many above and below water grasses are often displaced in the process of installing a boat dock, and some of the grasses are an important part of their ecosystem.  If the boat dock is properly installed, they will grow back and continue to thrive, but in some cases they can be permanently displaced and the impact can prove monumental in the most severe of situations.

Finally, probably one of the most unknown facts about the boat dock industry is that installation of a boat dock actually severely disrupts important wetland functions in many cases.  These functions include protecting against erosion, floods and pollution of the water.  Without these wetland functions, water front property is in far greater danger of being damaged by floods or erosion, and the water area is in danger of becoming permanently polluted.  Not only is this severely harmful to the environment, but it can severely decrease the value of your home and your enjoyment of your water area.

You as the consumer are not completely helpless.  The best thing that you can do after deciding to install a boat dock, is be informed and ask questions.  First, find out everything you can about your waterfront property.  Make sure that the water is not part of any conserved wildlife area, and be sure that it is not shared with any neighbors.  If the water is shared with neighbors, make sure they are included in the decision making process.  When selecting a contractor to construct and install your boat dock, be sure that they are competent and capable.  Ask questions about what sort of materials they will be using, how they plan on installing the boat dock and how it will affect your water environment.  A good boat dock provider will be able to answer all of your questions about your new boat dock and ensure you that the impact upon the environment will be minimal.

Being informed is the first step to being a conscientious and intelligent participant of the industry.  Not all products and providers available on the market are created equal, so knowing which ones are best for the environment is essential.  Making an informed decision will not only affect the environment of your world, but also potentially the safety of your family and your enjoyment of your waterfront property as well.  Not being aware of the harmful environmental side effects of installing a dock can lead to harmful pollutants invading your water, making it unsafe to enjoy, and can also lead to the disappearance of plants and animals, making your water property a less enjoyable place.  So search for all the facts, even those generally unknown, about a product and its provider before making the decision to invest in a boat dock.

The Easiest Way to Save Time in Your Human Resource Department

April 15th, 2010 by Joel Doscher
0

When it comes to saving time and streamlining your organization, it may seem impossible to start with the human resources department. This department is one of the most important in your entire organization and has many very time consuming procedures to accomplish. There is a way that you can make this department much more efficient without sacrificing profits or accuracy. There is actually a way that will allow you to improve accuracy and possibly increase profits just by simply using human resource management software.

This type of software will allow you to let each individual employee take advantage of doing the more common and smaller human resource tasks for themselves. This type of software will allow your employees to update their own files if they change their phone number or address.
